Jami (Felts) Moore was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. I addition to having an interest in art, she always enjoyed the life sciences. Jami studied both art and science, but she actively sought a career in the field of biology. Jami’s love of art kept her painting for fun in her free time. Her art is influenced by her love for biology, cartoons, science fiction, fantasy, and horror books and films. She frequently paints flowers, animals, skulls, hearts, and imaginary creatures. She paints primarily with watercolors and occasionally experiments with gouache and acrylic paints. Always torn between her love of science and her drive to create art, Jami works in a surgical pathology laboratory by day, dissecting organs and tissue specimens. Jami resides in Wichita, spending her time away from work with her husband and three children.
